Visions Dance Theatre was created to give exceptional dancers an outlet to show their talents.I have been a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer for many years and It has been a life long dream to build this company. I am a true believer that when you give the audience a chance to feel the passion that is within, you can touch the lives of many people. You don't have to be a dancer to enjoy the beauty,passion, athleticism, and emotional connection that choreographers transcend through their dancers. Music makes my visions a reality, It sends me to a place where the possibilities are endless. Music makes the mind enjoy no limitations. I love the process of creating. I feel alive when I am in the studio. The dancers, the mirrors and the infinite possibilities. Come and see Visions Dance Theatre on March 12TH 2011 at the Alex Theatre in Glendale,Ca. They will debut" Twist of Fate" a new piece set to music by Vassilis Tsabropoulos.
Last years performance at Celebrate Dance was a great stepping stone for Visions Dance Theatre. After performing their award winning piece "Always Remember... Never To Forget" ( Dancing Under The Stars Choreography Festival winner) it was nominated for multiple Lester Horton Dance Awards. One of our exciting future opportunities is an invitation to collaborate with composer/pianist Vassilis Tsabropoulos who, after seeing the company perform the piece "Always Remember... Never To Forget" choreographed to his music, asked the company to come to Athens, Greece and perform in concert with him. International exposure at this level will open many doors for us. Mr. Tsabropoulos is arguably one of the greatest pianist in Greece. He is an internationally acclaimed recording artist with ECM records. We are a non-profit dance company and a proud member of Los Angeles Dance Resource Center.
